Have you ever sought a temporary fix in lieu of a permanent solution?
Are you one to have a Plan B lined up just in case Plan A doesn’t present itself in your time frame?Have those Plan B’s ever really worked out as you’d hoped?
When you open the door to your home, does it speak peace?
Have you tried to do it yourself, and wonder why it’s not working?
Are you willing to do what it takes to create the atmosphere you so desire?
Did you know God is a God of peace and order, not anxiety and chaos?
I often say if you want to know what God would do or say, then do the opposite of what the world is telling you.
Over the course of my career, I can see how the world’s instructions have led to feelings of hopelessness and fatigue. I immediately think of countless appointments with clients who have apologized for their home’s appearance, saying something like this; “I’m so sorry for this mess. I don’t know why I can’t handle this like I should. I thought organizing a pantry, buying some pillows or a rug, would be easier than it is.”
Have you ever thought this way? You are not alone. There are so many like you out there. Try this on for size; Have you ever been told that you are not designed to “do it all?” ….then allow me to be that person. Here is one example of what I might say to an overwhelmed client, after I encourage them to take a breath, then let them know there is no judgement coming from my direction;
“Whether you believe it right now or not, all is well, and all will be well. All of this stuff(as I position my hands towards the room)respectfully speaking, can be moved! It can either be purged, organized, or repurposed, but it in no way identifies who you are as a person. We were all created for community, to be unified. God gave us individual gifts and talents for us to share with each other. There is not one soul on this planet who can do it all. I have a gift to help you with this, at the same time you have a gift or gifts to help me, or someone else with their situation. The reason I’m here today is to share the gift God gave me.”
Let’s go back to my point; Condemnation is the way of the world, not of God. Perfection is the way of the world, not of God.
Your Plan B is the way of the world, not of God. God’s Plan A is all you need my friends but it does require patience and abiding in Him and His word, this will give you the hope and faith that you need to know in your heart that He is leading you and will never abandoned you.
All is well, and all will be well. Trust in Him today, and know there is someone out there to help you!
