Where are you in your life right now? Do you see the difference in how you respond to people depending on what season you are in?

What words would you have chosen if you were feeling differently?

Did you take a moment and invite God into the situation before the conversation began?

Do you do it even if you feel strong and confident, perhaps even mighty?

Mighty vs Almighty ~

Here are the definitions;

Mighty ~ possessing great and impressive power or strength, especially on account of size.

Almighty ~ having complete power, omnipotent.

Would you identify yourself as mighty (I am including kind in heart, strong in spirit, and a force for good)? Yes? Maybe? I’m trying?

I get it. I’ve thought all of these at one time or another, but because we serve an Almighty God, we don’t have to figure it out. Yesterday was one of those days. What do I mean? A day where all those pieces of straw that broke the camel’s back came at the same time. When it rains it pours. There’s a reason for that saying, yesterday confirmed it. I am not trying to convey that everything that happened yesterday was what I would call negative, however they were all significant learning tools I believe God gave me to be a better person. Now, with that being said, my preference would’ve been to have yesterday spread out over a week or so, that would’ve been ideal, however there is a reason for that too. Strength only comes with added weight right?

In the midst of it all, my awareness of God being near me made all the difference! Even though my charcuterie board of emotions were trying to lead me to believe otherwise, my spirit knew the real truth. God is always with us. He is what we need, want, and couldn’t even dream of, all at the same time. God is also everywhere. I know I can easily see Him in the miracles, the sunsets, and the oceans, but it’s not as easy to see Him in the hard spots; the dirt, the rocks, the low places. They have purpose too. Our Almighty God uses anything, anyone, and everything as tools for our blessings. Did you pray for something new? I’m sure you realize that something has to end in order for that to occur, but we don’t always put that together. Can you see Him in that hard ending now?

I can.

I don’t know how many times I read, or heard the below scripture, but apparently it’s necessary every single time! This is evidence we are to be diligent in seeking His word daily because His ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts.

Proverbs 3:5–6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Does it seem a little bit clearer now, what I was speaking about earlier? Even as I write this, the awareness sinks in a little deeper and as that happens, a seed is planted. His truth and glory, which is the light, begins to break thru the mire. He wants to do that for you too, if you’ll let Him.
