When staging a bedroom/room in your home, this basic rule will always apply: do not put the tallest and thickest piece of furniture near the entrance of the room.  If it is not a big room with available space to enter the room before approaching that piece,  it is best to place that large piece in the furthest part of the room, opposite corner of the room to the door.  This will allow breathing room as you walk into the room, and not get the feeling of being cramped immediately.  This room will actually feel bigger than had you placed it in another location.

Happy designing!
