What do you want?
Have you put that on paper?
Do you seek it because another has it and appears to be happy because of it?
Will you consider yourself successful then, until the next thing comes along?
How many “things” do you have on your list?
What if you could be completely at peace whether you obtained it or not?
Isn’t it the state of mind you’re trying to achieve in the end?
How about we just go to that state of mind, now?
Who wants to join me there?
Did you feel a moment of exhilaration, or even power when you read that last question like I did?
There is an awakening if you will, a warmth that occurs when you receive Jesus Christ into your heart. The very moment you ask God to guide your life, the Holy Spirit, and all the fruits that come along side, begins to unfold; love, joy, peace, patience,kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and the big one; self control. You are in possession of all of it, all of Him! You are now fully equipped with all you need to live an abundant life.
If that is not the most empowering thing you’ve read this morning, I don’t know what is. Personally, I cannot hear it enough and fully grasp its measure…but I want to.
Acts 1:8 ~ “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Remember the state of mind topic I was speaking about earlier? If that is the case then the following scripture makes so much more sense to me;
Matthew 11:24 ~ “Therefore I tell you, everything you pray and ask for— believe that you have received it and it will be yours.”
Believing and trusting is the ultimate state of mind. There is nothing greater, aside from the hope that they bring, everything else falls short. The enemy of this earth cannot touch you. Isaiah 54:17 ~ “No weapon formed against you will succeed, and you will refute any accusation raised against you in court. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their vindication is from Me.”
Believe, receive, trust and rest, God is for you always.
Thank you Lord for your endless grace and mercies, and for your words today.
