One of my favorite “prepping” tools I use when spray painting/ painting objects, is tin foil!
Ex: I wanted to change the color of an oval wall mirror to use in my newly designed bedroom, and it was super easy: I covered 95% of the mirror with the foil, and then used masking tape to secure, and complete the coverage to the edge of the mirror, where it meets the frame….so fast!
Ex: I bought a wooden chair off craigslist and needed to paint it, yet did not want to paint the rattan seat portion. I covered it with foil, then taped the edges, to secure it next to the wood.
There are so many uses for foil, and this one is my favorite! It can be shaped, molded, and conformed to almost anything, plus it’s super lightweight! TRY IT…..
Happy painting!
