Have you ever been lost?
How did it feel, especially when you were little?
Who was the one person that could take that fear away?
Was it your mom, your dad, a grandparent?
Describe that moment when you were found by them; priceless right?
How about now, who do you lean on?
I was listening to an Instagram story by pastor Trent.Tribe, he was talking about a little boy who was lost in a department store, separated from his mom. I immediately thought back to when I was little and had the same experience. I was playing hide and seek amongst the clothes racks , and proceeded to get inside one of the circular ones, when I came out my mom wasn’t there. Needless to say, I was terrified. Fear took over my entire body. Trent goes on to describe the many people trying to help this little boy and calm him down, but the tears kept coming, he knew the only one who could save him and take away the fear, was his mom. The moment his mom leaned down and picked him up, the fear stopped completely. It wasn’t because the people around him said something different or changed, and he was still in the store, it was because the one who held him, loved him and he knew that.
I don’t know what is going on in your life at this moment; sickness, loneliness, fear in general, but you have a loving Heavenly Father who is reaching out His righteous Right Hand towards you, hoping you will take hold. If you’ve never experienced this love, this comfort, it’s indescribable and so complete, like nothing else you’ve ever known. The elation when I heard my mom’s voice in the distance “Honey, I’m over here” was like shining the brightest light in a pitch black room. God wants to love you like that, just completely take away your fear and He can if you let Him. There is no greater love!
Call to Him, ask Him to save you, to help you, I promise He will. He has for me every single time. God will show you that you were never really lost to begin with, He always had you in His sight.
