Do you have a time limit on some thing or someone?

Outside of work and appointment schedules, where are you giving God limits for time to work?

What part of your mind believes that if something doesn’t happen in that timeframe, it will never happen?

What kind of experience (filters) are embedded in your thinking that reinforce this perception?

What if God‘s timing is just not yours?

Let’s look at the definition of the word Filter: a porous device for removing impurities or solid particles from a liquid.

a function used to alter the overall appearance of an image in a specific manner.

Do you believe a filter cannot only block bad impurities but the good purities as well, if not managed?

What happens to the light when an old filter has calcium built up?

The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5:8 ~

Be sober/minded. Your adversary, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (Be aware of your thoughts). Friends, we have the capacity to manage and toss the filters that no longer serve us. All of our filters need to be replaced intermittently just like the ones in our home or vehicle. I recently took my truck in for its maintenance service check, and when they came out holding the old air filter, I was shocked at how dirty it was! There was no way that filter was working properly, it was long overdue for a replacement. Why don’t we start doing maintenance checks on our thought-filters? Do you think some of them should be tossed by now?

Every single person sees life thru various filters based on how they grew up. It is impossible to see life how it actually is(God’s perspective) unless we seek His help to remove and replace those out of date filters, with His perfect one (plan). God’s timing is perfect, He wants us to check in with Him daily, so we can throw out what doesn’t serve us any longer, and take up His filter for our lives!

Thank you Lord for your perfect filter given freely for us to have, and for your words today.
